Nokia's Lumia 1020 Windows Phone 8 smartphone was always exciting with
its 41-megapixel camera but the Finnish tech giant has just made it
even more enticing for its Indian customers. It has launched a buyback
scheme that allows those wishing to purchase the handset to enjoy a
discount of up to Rs. 13,500 in exchange for an old smartphone.
Depending to which smartphone you trade in and what condition it is
in, you could get your hands on a brand new Lumia 1020 from Nokia for as
low as Rs. 36,499. This price point is of course significantly lower
than the phone's launch price of Rs. 49,999.
Though Nokia's offer sounds quite exciting on the face of it, it must
be remembered that Rs. 13,500 is the maximum discount it is offering
for a trade in and all phones are hardly likely to command such a price.
Also, the Lumia 1020 is already available with a host of discount
options on a number of online retail sites.

Nokia has given the Lumia 1020 a 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ ClearBlack
AMOLED display with a resolution of 768 x 1280 pixels and a pixel
density of 332ppi. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the device which
houses a 41-megapxiel primary camera and a 1.2-megapixel front sensor. A
dual-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and an Adreno 225 GPU
power the device with a 2000 mAh battery and a 2 GB RAM. The phone packs
in an internal memory of 32 GB and boasts of connectivity options like
NFC, Bluetooth, USB and 4G.
